I NOTE with interest recently the two articles written in SO by POEU members and am writing now to initiate something that I believe is well overdue-a Socialist Organiser Post Office Group formed of militants and socialists who read or actively support SO in the UCW, POEU and CPSA.

While each of these unions has its Broad Left (UCW's set up only a year ago), I believe there is a need for socialists and militant trade unionists in the Post Office (Telecoms and Postal) to have a general and coordinated strategy on their industries.

I would be willing to convene a meeting to see the possibilities of this, preferably on a Sunday before the end of March.

Anyone interested should contact me at 33 Norreys Avenue, Oxford OX1 4ST or phone (best time 11-12pm) at 0865 725517 and let me know the Sundays they cannot attend and I will arrange for a date and venue, obviously somewhere central like Birmingham.
