SINCE Easter, NOLS has been the leadership of NUS. But for many of the students who voted them in there will be some confusion.
Do they still exist? And are • they choosing their moment carefully before they produce the mass campaigning union they promised? Or have they been sucked into the Endsleigh Street bureaucracy and become mere shadows of the ghosts of the last alliance?
So what have they done since they took control?
Have they prepared NUS to fight teacher education cuts? No, but they they hav backed the demo called by London Polys and that's good hasn't thought fit to prioritise debate on this at conference, but when it comes down to it they don't want to prioritise anything that is too contentious OI that demands action, like for instance student union financing or winning back student union autonomy from college authorities.
Buner democratised NUS? The naive amongst us might have thought that Labour Party democracy register, NOLS , against the register, NUS cracy and accountability. Well it's not NOL. ence and instruct its people on the NUS Exec to do anythins and now NOLS has decider to dispense with caucuses a there is no chance to question what is going on and no accountability Has thrown its weight behind the NHS workers?

Well it I vote for the left slate a Clause leadership want to organise labour clubs into alliances to resist expulsions and defend the YS?
